Scorechive

Every game, kept.

Privacy Policy

Updated October 25, 2026 · Current iOS beta

Scorechive is a personal baseball scorebook and archive created by Jose Gonzalez.

Your scorekeeping records are stored on your device. The current app does not require a Scorechive account and does not upload your scorebook to a developer-operated server.

Records you create

Scorechive stores information you enter or import, including team and player names, jersey numbers, lineups, game details, plays, pitches, velocities, statistics, notes, preferences, and team images. This information is used to provide scorekeeping, reports, saved games, and tutorial practice. Tutorial practice is separated from your real saved games.

Local storage and backups

Game records and preferences are stored within the app’s local storage. Exports and backups you save may also be stored in Files, iCloud Drive, or another location you choose. Apple’s device backup services may include app data depending on your settings. Scorechive does not currently provide its own account-based cloud synchronization.

Sharing and exported files

When you export, print, or share a report or backup, it can contain the game and player information you recorded. You choose the destination or recipient. The app or service you share through handles that copy under its own policies. Share only information you are comfortable disclosing.

Live Activities and Apple Watch

If enabled, recorded game information can appear on the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and a paired Apple Watch through Apple’s system features. This may make scores, team labels, or batter information visible to someone who can see those displays. You can manage Live Activities through iOS settings.

Advertising, tracking, and demo imports

The current iOS build includes no advertising or third-party marketing analytics SDK. It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. The import preview uses bundled fictional demonstration data; the current release does not connect to the official MLB live-data service.

Support and feedback

If you email scorechive@gmail.com, Jose Gonzalez receives your email address and the message or attachments you choose to send. These are used to answer questions, investigate problems, and improve Scorechive. Email is handled through Gmail and the email providers involved. Support correspondence is kept as reasonably needed to address the request and maintain relevant support records. You may request deletion by email, subject to legitimate legal or operational retention needs.

Apple diagnostics and TestFlight

Apple may collect diagnostics and usage information according to its services and your applicable settings. For TestFlight builds, Apple provides the developer with beta-testing information, crash reports, and feedback, which can include tester contact information and screenshots you submit. These are used to investigate defects and improve the app. See Apple’s TestFlight privacy information.

Retention and deletion

Records remain locally until you delete them or remove app data. The app also keeps recovery copies to protect against interrupted writes or unsuccessful restores; deleting an individual saved game does not necessarily erase every recovery or exported copy. Removing the app removes its local container, but separately saved files and Apple/device backups may remain. Manage those copies in the services where you saved them. The developer cannot remotely access or delete your on-device scorebook.

Player information

Enter only player information you are authorized to record. You do not need to include sensitive personal information to score a game. Avoid sending unnecessary information about players, particularly children, in support messages or screenshots.

These web pages

These privacy and support pages contain no advertising, analytics scripts, or contact forms. When hosted online, the hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP address and browser details, to serve and protect the pages.

Changes and contact

This policy will be updated if Scorechive’s practices change. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate app or release notice. For privacy questions, contact Jose Gonzalez at scorechive@gmail.com.
